A complexidade aumenta quando introduzimos sistemas de automação, buscando otimizar as condições do aquário. Respiração Subaquática: A Origem do CO2 nos Aquários

A produção de CO2 em um aquário é intrinsecamente ligada ao processo de respiração dos peixes. Assim como nós, os peixes consomem oxigênio e liberam dióxido de carbono como subproduto metabólico. Este processo, embora fundamental para a vida, pode ter um impacto significativo no equilíbrio químico da água do aquário. Além da respiração dos peixes, a decomposição de matéria orgânica, como restos de comida e fezes, também contribui para o aumento dos níveis de CO2. As bactérias presentes no aquário decompõem essa matéria orgânica, liberando CO2 no processo. A combinação desses dois fatores – respiração dos peixes e decomposição de matéria orgânica – pode levar a um acúmulo excessivo de CO2 na água, o que pode ser prejudicial aos peixes e outras formas de vida aquática.
